Day 174 of Safer-at-Home here in Panama City Beach, Florida. Yesterday’s statistics for COVID-19 for Bay County are 5,575 cases and 90 deaths, and for Florida are 691,381 cases and 11,963 deaths.

Labor Day Weekend snuck up on me this year, as the days are just running together. Some days I have to really stop and think about what day it is. Like last Wednesday, which is the day I put the trash cans on the curb, I had to look on my phone to find out if it was really Wednesday. Since lockdown back in March, my days have lost their rhythm.

Nancy, Theresa and I got together on Friday last week instead of Thursday, which is our custom. I had Theresa pick me up at my car dealership beforehand, as my car was due for service, and as it turned out two new tires, which will not be in until Tuesday. Once we got to Nancy’s, we chatted and then we decided to visit Hobby Lobby, as Nancy needed something from there. I had not been in since they opened their new location and was happy to see that the staff and customers all wore masks. By then my car was ready so they dropped me off back at the dealership.

On the way home I stopped at the UPS store on Thomas Drive to return something to Amazon. I was happy to see that the staff all wore masks and the store has installed an air filtering system. Because during lockdown I had gone there to get something notarized and no-one wore masks.

I have been putting time in at my shed, working on samples for the upcoming Education Encore session. But I have made a mess. Plus, I need to get some shelving and peg board put up so I can get some things off of the floor. For now, though, I feel the need to make samples and fine tune what I am going to teach. When I am done, I hope to concentrate on improving my workspace.
