I still have not put in any time in my workshop today. But I have come to the realization that I really need to focus on my house right now. The new windows are being installed on Friday, and I need to provide space in front of each window so the workmen can do their thing. As my house is small every window has furniture in front of it. And the furniture has stuff on top of it. So I have been packing up the stuff. With the disorder created by the work in the back bedroom, I need to not create more disorder if possible. So I am getting rid of a few things. It’s a process.
Growing up, it was part of my life to watch the National Conventions with my parents, whether I wanted to or not. And I have continued that tradition as an adult. But because I go to bed so early I could not watch very much of the Democratic National Convention last night and missed all the speeches, especially Michelle Obama’s, though the newspapers and news shows recapped most of it. One thing I did miss was the life audience. But that is what life in the new normal is like.
