Day 151 of Safer-at-Home here in Panama City Beach, Florida. Today’s statistics for COVID-19 from Florida’s Community Coronavirus Dashboard for Bay County are 4,778 cases and 66 deaths, and for Florida are 594,819 cases and 9,276 deaths. Locally, there were nine more deaths reported today, and there are 64 people in hospitals with virus related illnesses. Today they had to close two of the testing site because of storm damage.
That storm woke me up at 3 am this morning. I wasn’t able to get back to sleep, so I read until 4 am and then got up. There was thunder and lightening and heavy downpours. Flash flooding warning were in effect until 8:30 am.
Our Book Arts group had a zine exchange today. I could not get my head around what a zine was and didn’t make any. But Celeste, Shirley, Cheryl and Susan sure did. And there were so generous and gave me a copy of their zine even though I didn’t have one to exchange. Before the exchange there was a show and tell of what each person had been doing since we last met, which was either February or March.
I started clearing off the guest bed, as it has been piled up with things I don’t know where to put or they need to be put in their proper places. The bed is in front of one of the windows that will be replaced on Thursday. I made some progress, but have a ways to go.
I have not had any workshop time, since Monday, and I don’t see that I will get any until Sunday or Monday. And I am getting a little antsy about it. Or maybe it is because I have been in social situations more than usual this week. As an introvert I do crave my alone time. But I am not complaining, I have enjoyed talking to people, even though we wear masks and keep our distance. The new normal.
Stay Safe, Stay Healthy and Wear a Mask.
