Day 150 of Safer-at-Home here in Panama City Beach, Florida. Today’s statistics for COVID-19 for Bay County are 4,702 cases and 57 deaths, and for Florida are 588,660 cases and 9,047 deaths. There are 70 people in hospital with virus related illnesses.
This morning I got together with Nancy and Theresa in Nancy’s garage, which is her workshop. Thankfully it is air conditioned. We maintained social distancing while chatting and working on projects. I brought my stitch book to work on, along with my doodle book. We use to go to lunch but our new normal is we each go home and eat.
Lunch for me was salmon tacos, because it doesn’t take too long to prepare and I was hungry. I grilled the salmon on the indoor grill, and chopped up some lettuce, onion and tomato. For a sauce, I add some of my chipotle mayo to some Green Valley lactose free cream cheese. The only prepared food in my diet is store bought corn tortillas. I buy a package of 80 at Sam’s Club for just under $3 and divide and freeze them. I have made my own in the past but I am really not too fond of them. They turn out too thick.
A bit of good news today. My new windows will be installed next Thursday. I cannot wait. But I will have some work before the installers arrive, as I have to take window coverings down and clear space in front of each window. My house is already in turmoil because of the work in the back bedroom. I have stuff from that roomed lined up in my hallway and my bedroom so it doesn’t get ruined from the work on the ceiling.
