Day 134 of Safer-at-Home here in Panama City Beach, Florida. Today’s statistics for COVID-19 from Florida’s Community Coronavirus Dashboard for Bay County are 3,061 cases and 19 deaths, and for Florida are 454,398 cases and 6,049 deaths. One good thing: The City of Panama City Beach has issued a mandatory mask order for all inside businesses, starting today at 5 PM CDT. Now the rest of the county needs to follow suit. I live in the part of the Beach that is unincorporated, but I will drive the extra mile to shop where masks are required.

Today was my Enamel Meets Metal class at GCSC, and I can’t believe that I forgot my samples. Yesterday when I was packing up I remember taking everything out of my cart and repacking to make things fit better. And I guess when I repacked, that container got left out. So Deb provided me with one of her pieces and I did a demo with that. For my second demo, I just winged it. But the students did great inspite of the lack of samples. As they were working the room became so quiet as they were concentrating of what they were making.

The first thing I do when I get home is feed Moonie, the cat. If I don’t she follows me around and meows at me incessantly. She has really honed that skill through the years.

I have been watching Home is Where the Art is on YouTube. It is a BBC production where three artist compete to win a commission from a paying buyer. I am enjoying see the works of artists in a variety of mediums. Though, sometimes the accents are too thick for me to understand what they are saying. I usually use captions while watching TV, but I haven’t figured out how to do that with YouTube.
Stay Safe, Stay Healthy and Wear a Mask
