Day 122 of Safer-at-Home here in Panama City Beach, Florida. Today’s statistics for COVID-19 from Florida’s Community Coronavirus Dashboard for Bay County are 1,447 cases and 11 deaths, and for Florida are 304,506 cases and 4,514 deaths.

Today was book club, and because virus cases are spiking here, we met by way of Zoom. We discussed The Book Woman of Troublesome Creek by Kim Michele Richardson. It is a story of the blue people of Eastern Kentucky and of the WPA program of bringing books to secluded areas during the Great Depression. We all enjoyed the book and had a lively discussion. Out next book is Wolf Hall by Hilary Mantel.

They will begin working on my back bedroom later this week. First task will be to repair damage of sliding glass door frame and window frame, so that a new window and sliding glass door can be installed. Second the ceiling needs to be repaired and then I can get a painter in. And somewhere along the way I will need to get an electrician in as the ceiling fan has not worked properly since Hurricane Michael. Anyway, I needed to move stuff away from the window and door. Well that got me rearranging things in other rooms also. And what I have now is a pile of stuff on my bed, piles of stuff to go to the workshop, and piles of stuff in the hall way to go through. In other words I made a big mess.

I am also hoping to get rid of things, but the give-away pile is very small so far. But tomorrow is another day.

We did have a nice shower today and it cooled things down for awhile. So I dropped what I was doing and got my yard clothes on. I then did a little weed eating on the East side of the house. Then I ran out of line and needed to change the spool. Instead I just quit instead, aviruss it was getting steamy.

Lunch was grilled salmon with my chipotle mayo, roasted sweet potatoes, and sautéed spinach and onions with melted cream cheese. I saved enough salmon to make salmon tacos for dinner tonight.
