Sometimes I get headaches where there is a change in the barometric pressure. This happened to me Monday afternoon, and usually it goes away after a night’s sleep. But Tuesday I woke up at 3 am with a migraine that hurt every time I moved. I could not get back to sleep, so I got up. As the day progressed it just got worse. I didn’t want to eat and noise and light bothered me. I spent most of the day playing a mindless blocks game, just to divert my mind from the pain. Luckily it was gone this morning and I could get back to life as normal, well as normal as it can be in these times.
I did my bi-weekly grocery shopping at Sam’s Club and Publix today in record time. I just went, got what I needed and didn’t browse the aisles. At Sam’s Club I would say about 75% of the customers wore mask, which is a major improvement over my last visit. But at Publix I don’t think it was even half. And by the looks of it, I want to say that most of them were tourists. And I do have a pet peeve. It really bothers me when I see children without mask, and I don’t mean little ones, who should not be wearing them. If adults want to risk it, they are adults and will have to live with that decision, though I think they are selfish. But why put your children’s life and health at risk? I have to admit I am glad that my children are grown and I do not have to function as a parent of school age children during this pandemic.
As usual, I picked up some spicy, unbreaded chicken wings at Publix today and had them for lunch along with some roasted sweet potatoes and sliced tomatoes. My daughter, Mary, has been sharing her bumper crop of tomatoes with me and brought me some on Sunday. I sure have enjoyed them.
I find it hard to get back to my creative life after running errands. I don’t know why. But I need to get busy as I have a sample to make for my class on Monday. I have one made with a stone in it, but would like one with an enameled piece, as that is the theme of the class.
Stay Safe, Stay Healthy, and Wear a Mask
