Day 98 at Safer-at-Home here in Panama City Beach, Florida. Today’s Florida Department of Health’s(DOH) statistics for COVID-19 in Bay County are 167 cases and 4 deaths, and for Florida are 85,926 cases and 3,061 deaths. The statistics from Florida’s Community Coronavirus Dashboard for Bay County are 180 cases and 5 deaths, and for Florida are 93,527 cases and 3,154 deaths. Today’s reporting was a daily record of cases for Florida.

Today was a social day as I got together with Nancy and Theresa. We mainly chatted and caught up with each other as we did not get together last week or even Zoom. I worked on a needle felted piece that I am embellishing with embroidery and beads. It is slow going. After each new embellishment I have to decide if I am done or if it needs something else. To me it always needs something else. I guess it will tell me when I am done.

When I got home I made lunch and then mopped the kitchen floor. Then I thought I would have time to sit down and chill out and catch up on my Words with Friends games. But I got a phone call with a North Carolina area code. I didn’t answer it as I didn’t know the number. I looked out the window and saw a minivan with a window company logo on it drive by. By then there was a voice mail and the minivan drove by again and parked in front of my house. At the same time I saw the voice mail was from the window company representative. He was an hour early, which didn’t bother me. So I went outside and tapped on his window and told him to come inside.

He spent some time measuring all my windows. I liked that he measured everything twice. He sat down and did the math and gave me the final figure. It is a lot of money, but money well spent I think. I gave him all the paperwork the bank needs and signed the contract and gave him a deposit. So in a few months I will be getting new windows and sliding glass door. YEAH! Next on the list is insulation, but will wait until the ceilings are fixed.

I try not to be political on this site as I use Tweeter for that. But I was glad to see that the Supreme Court made two great decisions this week, one about LGBT right and the other about DACA.
