They are finishing up on the roof as I type. I have to give a shout out to Greg’s Roofing, as they have done a great job and everyone is so polite and helpful. But I will be glad when it is complete as is Moonie, the cat. Luckily I have the workshop to escape to every day to avoid the noise.

This week both my Butcher Box and Misfit Produce orders were delivered. So I plan to do some cooking. I left out the whole chicken and will try to cook it in the Instant Pot tomorrow, as this time of year I try to avoid heating up the house with the oven. The last time I tried to do that the bird was too big, but this one is smaller so it should work. And I also plan to make some bone broth and soup once it is cooked. I have been stocking up the freezer with bits and pieces of produce for the broth.

Today was my Freebie Friday demo by way of Zoom. This week’s subject was home made patinas using ammonia and vinegar, but not together. I like the effects of vinegar, which produces greens as opposed to ammonia which produces blues. But I love experimenting and like the surprises that come from the process.

I did venture out today, in addition to my walk. I picked up my prescription at the drive-thru window at Publix. And then I decided to stop in at Tuesday Morning. I like to browse their arts and crafts section and treat myself to something. I couldn’t even tell you when I did this last. Of course I wore my mask and I was happy to see that the employees wore masks and were disinfecting the counter and card reader. A few customers had on masks and a few didn’t.

This afternoon I started cleaning up some of he pieces of driftwood I have been collecting. I started to drill holes in some of them and realized that the drill bit was too short. I looked on line trying to figure what I needed, then look through my drill bits and found some long ones. I had some old macrame beads and some beads I made when I tried my hand at ceramics. So I strung the beads and driftwood together. I will get pictures once I hang them.
