Day 77 of Safer-at-Home here in Panama City Beach, Florida. This morning’s statistics for COVID-19 here in Bay County are the same, 97 confirmed cases and 3 deaths, and for Florida are 53,285 cases and 2,364 deaths.

I walked this morning. When I start out there is a nice breeze coming over the lagoon, but by the time I finish the breeze seems to be no where in sight. I have decided to walk every other day, giving my body a rest in between.

In normal times, Thursday was my play day with Nancy and Theresa. We usually enameled, but sometimes we made jewelry, knitted, painted with watercolors, but mainly enjoyed each other’s company. Going out to lunch and sometimes shopping were often part of the agenda. Now we Zoom. It is not the same, but it is good to talk and see each other, though we text on a regular basis.

After we Zoomed, I took a shower, dressed and headed out to the grocery shop. First stop was Sam’s Club. I was really shocked at the number of customers that were not wearing a mask. I just do not understand that mentality. To me it is a pure disregard for anyone but oneself. And social distancing was hard to do with the layout of Sam’s. Luckily I had downloaded the app so I could at least check out on my phone and get out of there as quickly as possible. Next stop was Publix. At this store more people wore masks but there were still a lot that did not. At least they have the store set up for you to go one way down the aisles so it was easier to social distance.

I indulged in Publix’s unbreaded chicken wings again for lunch and cut up the last of the carrots. So lunch was easy peasy. I do get tired of cooking three meals a day and cleaning up afterwards. Maybe it is just the cleaning up that I mind. This weekend I plan to make carnitas, as I took the pork out of the freezer.

I finished up the directions for my Freebie Friday project. In addition I laid out all the tools and supplies for tomorrow’s Zoom demo. My new tripod arrived with attachments for phone and tablet. So tomorrow will be the test to see how they work as it will let me be hands free while I demo.

My daughter brought me some of her tomatoes today and I gave her a jar of pecans, one of the things I buy at Sam’s Club.
