Day 25 of Sheltering in Place here in Panama City Beach, FL. Bay County has 23 confirmed cases, one death, and Florida has 11,545 cases and 195 deaths. These figures have not been updated today.
Yesterday I read an article, and for the life of me I cannot find it today. I thought I had saved it. Anyway it was about not feeling guilty about doing nothing in this era of a pandemic. So many of us made huge plans for home projects since we are now home bound. We get all the supplies and then we don’t do them. The author basically said don’t worry about it; it’s okay to sit and watch TV or do nothing, We are all going through major trauma as we adjust to living with such uncertainty in our future. I really needed to hear this message, as I was feeling guilty that I was not getting all my planned projects done in lightening speed.
But I did get one thing done today. I got the second coat of polyurethane on the remainder of the shed floor. Now I have to let it dry and cure then I can start moving in. I am going to set up the beading area first. Mainly because I can move the furniture for it without any assistance. Next will be the enameling and soldering areas. There are two pieces that will be too heavy for me. One is the bench I got from Harbor Freight and the other is a huge piece of wood that I want to use as a work surface. My daughter, Mary, hurt her arm so she cannot help. So I may have to hire someone and in this age of social distancing, I have my reservations. I am thinking I could take pictures of the items and where they will go and not have to interact with the workmen. And is this allowed under our state Stay at Home order?
Till next time, stay safe and healthy.
