As we are in the dog days of summer, my mind is shifting gears to the the Fall session of Eduction Encore. I am going to be adding some new lessons and bringing back many of the old favorites in my Enameling Class.
But I have had a great summer. It started with a road trip. My granddaughter, Hunter, will be a Senior in high school this year and wanted to visit some colleges in California. So I picked her up in Colorado and off we went.
On the way, I fell in love with the landscape in Utah and want to spend some time there in the future.
We visited my sister Nancy and her husband Tommy in Tehachip for a couple of days. I can’t believe the only picture I got there was of Tommy’s Indian motorcycle.
One of the highlights was seeing Phantom of the Opera at the Pantages Theater in Hollywood. My nephew, Michael, and my sister, Nancy, got us great seats.
Next we stayed with my brother, John, and his wife Kim in Costa Mesa.
While there we visited my old stomping grounds, Huntington Beach.
Our last night in Costa Mesa we went to a free concert in Newport Beach, where Kim and her friends had prepared a gourmet picnic.
and Hunter and my brother got matching tee shirts.
And we did visit a few colleges along the way.
